Vanicream should make a leave in conditioner detangler It helps my hair but the shampoo and conditioner leave my hair a frizzy mess

Free & Clear shampoo was recommended by my dermatologist for my itchy scalp with hair loss, which she diagnosed as alopecia areata. For about the first six months of use, the itching did subside a bit; but when I started on the second bottle, the itching and hair loss returned with a vengeance. On the rare occasion I do use Free & Clear, it now causes more irritation and hair loss than any of the others I have tried in the past year. I just discovered SkinSAFE today, and it is very disappointing that Free & Clear shampoo is rated 100% skin safe.

Left my hair dry and staticy. The conditioner left my hair flat and dirty looking. My hair looked terrible but my scalp wasn't reacting. Shampoo makes a good body wash though.

Hi - There isn't anything on the product label that addresses the use of the product on color-treated hair. It would be best to contact the manufacturer directly at https://www.vanicream.com/contact-us

Hi - it's because of the pentylene glycol. At this time, to find out which ingredient is related, you can click on the individual ingredient to see the ingredient detail page. Under the "Not Safe" section you'll see badges.

Could you tell me why this isn’t Propylene Glycol Free?
Hang tight. We're thinking.
