Hi - we did verify with the manufacturer. Their glycerin is not derived from coconut.

Unfortunately, Glycerine that is not made from animal fat is often made from coconut (or Palm oil which is in the same family but different). A warning to coconut allergy sufferers like myself, with the name Africare Cococare - I would assume this is coconut based.
